The ink used in the printing process is mainly composed of colorants, resins, solvents and auxiliaries. Waste gas is mainly produced during inking, drying and compounding processes. Volatilized organic solvents are the major source of air pollution. Printing waste gas has complex components, peculiar odor, flammability and explosiveness. Direct discharge without purification will cause serious impacts on the surrounding environment. According to the characteristics of printing waste gas, Zhonghuan Lvzhou Environmental Protection adopts primary activated carbon adsorber + secondary activated carbon adsorber for purification treatment.

Ⅰ. Printing Waste Gas Treatment Process Flow

1. Waste Gas Collection

Waste gas generated during printing is collected by the collecting hood installed on the working platform of the five-color printing machine.

2. Waste Gas Transportation

Driven by the fan, the collected waste gas is transported to the activated carbon adsorber through pipelines under positive pressure or negative pressure.

3. Primary Activated Carbon Adsorber

The waste gas first enters the primary activated carbon adsorber. There are unbalanced and unsaturated molecular attraction and chemical bonding forces on the activated carbon surface, which can adsorb organic pollutants in the waste gas. After preliminary purification, the gas flows into the next treatment unit.

4. Secondary Activated Carbon Adsorber

The gas after primary adsorption enters the secondary activated carbon adsorber for deep purification to ensure thorough removal of residual pollutants.

5. Gas Discharge

After double-stage activated carbon adsorption treatment, the clean gas passes through the dust removal system and is finally discharged at high altitude to meet environmental protection standards.

Ⅱ. Printing Waste Gas Process Description

Driven by the fan, printing waste gas enters the adsorber tower under positive pressure or negative pressure. Due to the unbalanced and unsaturated molecular attraction and chemical bonding force on the solid surface of activated carbon, gas molecules are adsorbed and condensed on the solid surface. The pollutants are effectively trapped. After filtration and adsorption, the purified gas is discharged at high altitude in compliance with emission requirements.
