PP spray tower is a waste gas treatment equipment mainly made of polypropylene (PP).
Structural Composition
Tower body is made of PP material with excellent corrosion resistance and moderate high temperature resistance, applicable at temperatures ranging from -10℃ to 120℃.
The packing layer is generally filled with PP-made raschig rings, pall rings or multi-surface hollow balls, which serve to enlarge gas-liquid contact area and promote waste gas treatment efficiency.
The spraying system consists of spray pumps, nozzles and pipelines. The spray pump delivers absorption liquid from the circulating water tank and sprays it evenly over the packing layer through nozzles.
The demister is designed to remove moisture from purified gas so that discharged gas can meet environmental emission standards.
The circulating water tank stores and circulates absorption liquid to cut down operating costs.
Working Principle
Waste gas enters the tower through the air inlet, while absorption liquid is sprayed downwards from the tower top to make counter-current contact with waste gas. Harmful substances inside waste gas are dissolved or chemically reacted with absorption liquid and then eliminated. Treated gas passes through the demister for dehumidification and is discharged from the tower top. The absorption liquid can be recycled or discharged after proper treatment.
Performance Characteristics
It achieves high purification efficiency, with the removal rate of acidic gases such as hydrogen chloride and sulfur dioxide as well as alkaline gas like ammonia reaching 85% to 95%.
Featuring outstanding acid and alkali corrosion resistance, PP material enables the equipment to operate stably in highly corrosive working conditions.
It has low operating costs thanks to recyclable absorption liquid, low energy consumption and easy daily maintenance.
The compact structure takes up little floor space, making it suitable for sites with limited space.

It is widely used in electronics, chemical industry, pharmaceutical, textile, rubber and plastic, food processing, printing, cement, ceramics and other industries to treat acid-base waste gas and partial organic pollutants.
Maintenance Instructions
Conduct regular inspection on nozzles, packing layers and demisters to prevent blockage. Clean the circulating water tank and sedimentation tank periodically. Check the operating condition of pumps, fans and other auxiliary equipment and carry out timely maintenance and repair.
