Structural Composition

Tower body: The main structure of the denitrification tower, providing reaction space for denitrification.

Gas distributor: Uniformly distribute the flue gas entering the tower to ensure sufficient contact with denitrifier.

Liquid distributor: Uniformly distribute denitrifier inside the tower to realize favorable contact between denitrifier and flue gas.

Liquid redistribution ring: Eliminate uneven liquid distribution caused by circulating liquid accumulation near the tower wall, and improve the oxidation efficiency of flue gas near the wall.

Spraying device: Consists of special nozzles. The denitrifier is atomized into numerous tiny droplets to expand the gas-liquid contact area.

Demister: Installed at the top of the tower. It captures smoke, water droplets and solid particles by baffle collision, preventing pollutants from being discharged with purified flue gas.

Working Principle

The wet denitrification tower generally adopts nozzle-type empty tower spraying. The denitrifier is atomized into a large number of tiny droplets with expanded specific surface area, which fully contacts with flue gas. Mass transfer reaction occurs between gas and liquid phases, and nitrogen oxides are absorbed or chemically converted into harmless substances. In certain wet denitrification processes, nitrogen oxides are oxidized firstly, and then washed by dilute sulfuric acid and nitric acid solution containing iron catalyst. Part of nitrogen oxides is converted into nitric acid, while the rest is reduced into harmless gases such as nitrous oxide and nitrogen for discharge together with flue gas.

Excellent mass transfer effect: Reasonable flue gas velocity, low liquid-gas ratio and multi-layer counter-current spraying realize sufficient mass transfer and high denitrification efficiency.

Low operating cost: Low power consumption. Commercially available denitrifiers are easy to purchase to reduce operating expenses.

Anti-blocking performance: Hollow cone nozzles are resistant to damage and blockage. The process design effectively prevents blockage of demisters and liquid passages.
